Window N101 VS Window N101 II

After released Window N90 dual-core series tablet, Window continues to release its N101 dual-core tablets – Window N101 and Window N101 II. These two tablets adopt 10.1-inch IPS screen, and their specifications are similar. The differences between them lie in the appearance, material technology, the size, interface layout, and other details.

Differences on Appearance:
  The main differences between Window N101 and Window N101 II reflect on the appearance. Viewing from the front, both of them are equipped with 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 resolution IPS screen. And the material of the screen panel is toughened glass. The advantages of toughened glass are high-transparency, high hardness, and long-life time. The difference is the place of front camera. For Window N101, its front camera is on the middle, but the place of front camera of Window N101 II is moved 2cm to the right. The speaker of Window N101 is on the front, but the speaker of Window N101 II is on back. Tough both of them are used 10-inch screen, but the whole size of Window N101 II is larger than that of Window N101.

Both of them are used aluminum alloy back covers, which can bring good texture and better heat dissipation effect. But there is a difference on detail. The main camera of Window N101 II is in the middle, which is more convenient to take photos. But Window N101’s back camera is on the right. From the picture we can see that Window N101 II’s speaker is on the back, which may be blocked when you put your tablet on desk, so the sound effect will be reflected. Window N101 may be more portable than Window N101 II, because Window N101 is thinner than Window N101 II. The thickness of N101 is 9.81mm, and N101 II is 10.25mm.

Both of them are equipped with Android 4.0.4, and reduced the physical home button, but still left the power button and volume control key on the top of the tablet body.

Window N101 II’s interface ports are put together on the left. Except 3.5mm earphone port and DC 12V power port, there are Micro USB, HDMI, and TF care slot, and they are all used hidden design. They are protected by a black shield. In addition, Window N101 II adopts 12V-2A charger, but Window N101 adopts 5V-2A charger. So, Window N101 II will be faster than N101 on charger speed.

The Micro USB port on Window N101 II can be connected with OTG port, and through OTG port, it can connect with U disk, mouse, keyboard, and external 3G dongle.
In term of hardware configuration, both of them are used Rockchip RK3066 dual-core processor, and main frequency can up to 1.6GHz. Quad-core Mali-400MP GPU can bring us better experience on 3D games and high definition videos. With 1GB RAM + 1GB ROM, and Android 4.0.4, the tablet can run more smoothly.
