Asus IFA Assembly a few weeks ago released a product called Vivo Tab hybrid netbook / tablet. It has two versions, one equipped with a new Intel Atom processor and Windows 8, the other with NVIDIA Tegra 3 chip and Windows RT operating system.
San Francisco Intel Developer Forum (IDF), Asus shows the WinTel version Vivo Tab. It uses a 11.6-inch, 1366 x768 resolution IPS screen, at first glance, looks no different with a regular laptop.
The keyboard adds a second battery and rational layout USB port. Asus precedent for the production of such equipment before it launched the Tablet PC Transformer deformation.
Vivo Tab is interesting because it is the Tablet PC. Intel to convince Asus to use its next-generation Atom technology. Specifically, Asus uses double four threads clocked at 1.80GHz's Atom Z2760 RAM to 2GB, with 64GB embedded storage systems, an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera, and built-in NFC functionality.

If you have small hands may feel a 11.6-inch screen is too large, but it was relatively light (675 g) thin (8.7 mm), and the screen is very bright colors. Atom and Windows combination provides a smooth, no lag touch experience. It is said that it's life lasted more than 10 hours.

Intel believes that the Tablet PC equipped with Atom processor suitable for sale in the launch of Windows 8. We do not know the specific price, and how effective it is compared with the ARM version. But time will tell whether Intel can provide a real alternative to the Tablet PC market dominated by ARM.
